Based in The Netherlands, FFWD Fast Forward ® is a young high-end brand, specializing in high speed wheels. Carbon only. Period. FFWD’s goal is to deliver fast, lightweight and durable wheels to the Road, Cyclocross, Track & Triathlon markets. Our primary focus is on outstanding craftsmanship, quality and design.
All spoked wheels are laced and hand built in Holland. Each set of wheels is meticulously put together, trued to the ‘Mµ’ and released into the world of speed with a unique serial number.
Only the best of ingredients (read components) are being used! High Tensile TC35 Carbon rims, FFWD or DT Swiss hubs, Sapim CX Ray or DT Aerolite spokes, Brass nipples together with a lot of intrinsic wheel builder finger skills ensure top quality and long term serviceability.
Current range of high end products consists of high performance Road, Triathlon and specific Cyclocross wheels, 3 spoke-, disc- and Track wheels in all major sizes and variations (f.e.700c and 650c, tubular/clincher types).

The people
Roland ten Brinke, General Manager
Roland ten Brinke, a passionate cyclist with an extensive experience in the bicycle industry. His career started at a specialist bike shop from where he moved on to working for SRAM in 2001. After being technical manager, aftermarket sales manager and road sales manager at SRAM, Roland joined FFWD Wheels in January 2008. As general manager, Roland is in charge of the daily operations at FFWD Wheels.
Rik van Putten, Marketing & Sales
Rik van Putten finished a study Commercial Economics and started his career at SRAM. He gained knowledge of the bike industry working in the customer service and marketing departments being responsible for different areas. Next to that he is also a passionate cyclist having raced since the age of 10. Rik joined FFWD Wheels on May 1st 2009 being responsible for Marketing and Sales, working with the media and handling sponsoring requests.
Roman Storcel, Master Wheel Builder
Roman Storcel is a longtime friend of Henk from the time they raced together. His technical know-how and experience are leading back to Slovakia were he ran his own shop for several years. Roman is building FFWD wheels with the same great sense of perfection all FFWD wheels are being built.
Henk Schipper, Owner/Founder
Henk Schipper, a keen cyclist from an early age raced more than 500 road races between 1976 and 1993. No surprise that he ended up working in the bicycle industry. After his study Business Economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, he started his professional career at SRAM in 1994, initially as technical support manager and later as product manager.
Five years later he becomes general manager at Veltec Benelux, a leading distributor of high-end bicycles and accessories.
In 2002, Henk founds his own company: Optima Forma Cycling.
Responsible as sales agent for Ritchey and Syncros in the Benelux, Scandinavia and the UK. Between 2003 and 2006 OFC also acted as the European sales & marketing agency for Lake Cycling Shoes.
In 2006 Henk founds FFWD Wheels.
